Kaufman, the Strikeforce Women’s Welterweight (135 pounds) Champion, set the mixed martial arts world on fire with her thrilling bodyslam victory over Roxanne Modafferi in July.
Even though the undefeated Kaufman had the fight well in hand, she finished it in spectacular fashion – a testament to her competitive spirit.
On Oct. 9 in San Jose, Kaufman will defend her crown against her toughest opponent yet, Dutch superstar fighter Marloes Coenen in a fight that will air live on ShowtimeAnd although Coenen didn’t win her last fight, her performance in defeat was perhaps as impressive as Kaufman’s victory.
