Gabrielle "Gabanator" Holloway defeats Ruth Perkins

On Saturday January, 26 2013 at Sugar Creek Showdown 5: "Frost Bitten" at The Sugar Creek Casino in Hinton, Oklahoma.

#17 ranked 145-pound fighter Gabrielle "Gabanator" Holloway (2-0-0) defeated Ruth Perkins (0-1-0) by submission (rear-naked choke) in the first round of their 145-pound professional MMA match.

Gabrielle is a 5'4 twenty-two year old fighter from Orange, Virginia. She trains at Zamora Boxing Gym where she is coached by Eric Zamora. She ended her amateur career with a perfect (7-0) record.

I asked Gabrielle how long has she been training and what got her started in MMA and this was her answer, "I have been training in MMA for about four years. After I graduated high school in 2008 I started going to Zamora Boxing Gym just to stay in shape and in 2009 they asked me if I would be interested in having a MMA fight I said sure so I did and ever since then I have been hooked but my passion is helping animals I currently am in college studying to become a veterinarian and I just do MMA for fun and to relieve stress. I wish school was as easy for me as MMA lol.."
