Nicco Montano (7-2-0) defeated Roxanne Modafferi (24-15-0) by Unanimous Decision in their 125-pound professional MMA Championship match.
Nicco is a 5'5 twenty-eight year old fighter originally from Lukachukai, Arizona, she now fights out of Albuquerque, New
Mexico, where she trains at FIT NHB.

Nicco made an amazing run through the 125-pound tournament, defeating the top three ranked fighters #3 Lauren Murphy, #3 Barb Honchak, and #1 Roxanne Modafferi. She did all as the #14 seed.
Not to mention, she was fighting with a broken foot.
Both fighters won $50,000 for Fight Of The Night.
With Sijara Eubanks unable to compete, it seems likely that Sijara would get the first shot at Nicco's title but with so many talented 135-pounders moving down to 125-pounds, who knows whats next.
